You do not have to go to the Himalayas or Assisi to learn meditation. Neither do you have to hire a life coach trainer in mystical spirituality to pray more deeply. And, here’s what the pope knows and many saints do too:

How to meditate

What about you?

Led by Father Jack Lombardi, author and pastor of St. Peter Parish, Hancock, MD, each retreat will actively invite participants to learn, pray and focus on God.

The retreats will begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

Topics and discussions will include (but not limited to):

  • What is meditation?
  • A practice of meditation
  • Lectio Divina
  • Lives of the saints, their helps and influences
  • Blessings and dangers today in spirituality and meditation
  • How you can help others who need a calming presence in their lives
  • Question-and-answer session

Each retreat participant will receive one paperback copy of the book, “33 Breaths: A Little Book on Meditation."
